After a few years of using the .Mac service, now known as MobileMe, I’ve decided that, well, its just not for me. It costs a hell of a lot for not muh value really, and although I have an iPhone, I don’t really need push data or email. Just syncing with my Powerbook and using fetchdata is enough. I also want to be able to update my Rapidweaver blog remotely – which means that Iwould like to use RapidBlog. However, .Mac cannot deal with php, which rules out that solutuion. I don’t really want to migrate my complete blog as its working well and having a morrir on Blogger.com will work well for me. The weakest linkin the chain is to get rid of MobileMe and use another hosting solution. So, I think that’s what I’m going to do. So, unless there are big improvements in MobileMe (which has been under-perfroming quite magnificently of late), I will be waving sayonara in November.
