After some considerable struggle and mucking around, I have finally managed to succesfully move my blog out of Rapidweaver and have started using WordPress on my own hosted site – nzbound.metime.org.uk

This means I should eventually be able to post from whichever computer I happen to be using, and also via email – which is much more convenient than being chained to proprietary software tied to my Mac. It also makes sense being able to post by email too, and using my iPhone to post via email when I’m out and about. Not that I have been out and about much recently. My passport is looking dangerously low on recent stamps.

I’m still getting to know the various features and possible variations of WordPress. I’m also looking forward to mucking about with some of the templates perhaps later on this week and personalising the header of the front page. But for now, I’m just happy to have it up and running with all the old 245 posts intact from the past 3 years. Importing from RSS was quite a challenge.

See you after the Hadron Collider is switched on. I hope.
