Making WordPress progress

I’ve spent a little time mucking around with WordPress this evening and I am impressed. I wonder why I didn’t change before? Just so much more flexible that the proprietary Rapidweaver I was using before. OK, some of the pages probably aren’t as slick – but I’ll get better at customising how I want my site to look by tweaking the themes and plug-ins and uploading the broken link photos that are currently scattered through the posts.

I have imported some Facebook albums that you can see in the tab at the top of the screen. I will change the header photo along the top of the screen tomorrow evening and add a few more bells and whistles, such as opening a Flickr account and linking in an RSS feed, probably in a sidebar. After I’ve settled on a general structure, I’ll let things settle and concentrate on starting to post some more interesting views and commentary again. I’ll be traveling again soon too – I’ll reveal plans after some sleep.
