Hey, Singapore Airlines are definitely the best option out there. I have flown many of the airlines available to Asia& Europe. The flight that leaves Auckland at around 1am is on Singapores’ older 777-200ER which are being phased out, but if you fly on their much newer 777-300ER, which has the exact same interior to the A380 which leaves Auckland at around 1pm, arriving into Singapore at 7pm is a much better option, and still connects well with an A380 flight to London. I personally would never fly Air NZ long haul again, and try to avoid them on shorter flights as well. This is because of firstly their declining service and centering in Economy, and secondly ont heir newest aircraft (777-300ER) they have squeezed in an extra seat in every row to make 10 seats per row compared to most other legacy carriers such as Singapore Airlines who have 9 across

How (and indeed where) are you? Its a year of catching up for me. I’m not so profficient in these things (I’m so naive, I don’t know if this is reply will be just to you or if it gets posted on your blog site).

I couldn’t work out if you are in UK or NZ, but it sounds like things are going well on the work front. Things plodding along here, though I’ve been a dad twice over since we last spoke. Congratulations on your little one

Strangely, I came upon this site quite by accident, but that’s another story… If you drop me a line I can be more forthcoming. Not as dodgy as it sounds

Thank you – yes, pretty pleased as just stayed calm and executed, and was able to have a good time despite the madness of the crowds and the rain. That said, wouldn’t mind slightly better conditions next time!

Thanks Miraz – it might well be the case as it looks like I had inadvertently switched on two different plug-ins that generated sitemaps. I’ve tried deleting one, so let’s see how that changes things.

I had a problem like that with my MacTips site. I think it was actually something to do with the sitemap.

Do you have a sitemap plugin? Try rebuilding the sitemap if so.

When I have a post that has become a spam-magnet I’m afraid I just close comments on that post….

Interesting seeing I have just bought the same Macbook you mention.
I wasnt to worried about Firewire as I have 2 HDD Digital Camcorders who use USB 2. My Old MiniDv can uses firewire however. The desktop can handle that if we need too.
